HEALTH: Promoting Health and Fighting Diseases
The Foundation’s health programmes mainly respond to the HIV epidemic, TB, malaria and malnutrition.
While effective project structures have been established in the projects the Foundation has supported, the true strength of the health projects lies in their connections with the communities they serve. The project leaders live in the communities and deeply understand the people's needs and conditions. Working together with local people, the projects impact people's lives and become vital to their journey.
Support groups are formed as trios, creating a robust network of encouragement and solidarity for those diagnosed or infected, fostering an environment of hope and resilience.
In the case of tuberculosis, health services have been made available to communities, enabling early detection, prompt diagnosis, and complete treatment, ultimately saving millions of lives.
With the rapid rise in climate-related disasters and the overall decline in agricultural production due to Climate Change, nutrition has become increasingly important for promoting health for populations worldwide.
Overcoming health challenges takes more than technology it requires people coming together to drive change. In Mozambique, communities are leading the way, turning collective action into lasting impact.
